Statement of Faith
Theological Beliefs
I have confessed Jesus Christ to be my Lord and Savior, and I am in full agreement with the Nicene Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
In addition, I believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word, is infallible, and the ultimate authority for anything having to do with God and our world. I believe it was written by inspired men of God and gives us directions for daily living, and reveals God’s plan for our salvation and redemption. I believe the narrative stories revealed in the Bible were written about real men and women who lived on this earth and that their stories have been given to us to inspire us to follow God more closely.
I believe that all humans have sinned and are in need to a Savior. I also believe that the only way to God is through his Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus died for us, rose again and that anyone who comes to him can be saved, regardless of their past.
I believe that the Holy Spirit was given to us to empower us to live abundant, enriched lives and allows us to walk closer to God and to be in constant communication with Him. I also believe that when we turn our hearts over to God, the Holy Spirit seals us for the day of redemption and judgment.
I believe that our bodies will be resurrected—the dead will be raised to eternal life with God, while those who have not committed to follow God will face judgment and eternal separation from God in hell.
I believe that the Church is comprised of all believers worldwide who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
I believe in the Great Commission that Jesus gave his followers to spread the gospel and the hope of his redemption to all of mankind.

Cultural/Societal Beliefs
I believe that marriage is a sacred institution designed by God to be a covenant relationship between a man and a woman. Sex is a gift of God to be shared within the bonds of marriage.
When it comes to the marriage partnership, I hold in a complementarian perspective in which I believe that men and women are uniquely different genders and that God has designed us to complement each other, not to compete with each other.
I believe that a person’s gender was chosen by God and is not fluid.
I believe that Christianity embodies absolute truths, not relativism. I believe that the Bible reveals what is truth and that this is a non-negotiable truth. I do not hold to the adage of “what’s true for me is not necessarily true for you” and believe that this view is a lie from the enemy of our souls.
I believe that unborn babies are beautiful creations of God, little humans designed in the image of God, and who contain an eternal soul from the moment of conception; to end their lives prematurely is murder.
I hold conservative, historical view of Christianity and the Bible. I hold that “progressive Christianity” is outside of the realm of based scriptural teaching and that the church today is in danger of accepting and promoting these heresies. I believe God is calling his people back to a pure, unadulterated gospel of truth that aligns with the Bible.
